Between man and citizen there is a scar: the foreigner.
—Julia Kristeva, Strangers to Ourselves
sufferer, stranger, you must not trespass!

Join us for the finale of our explosive UPRISING season – TAKE SPACE. The spaces of our im/emigration, the problems we find there, make there, solve there, the spaces of our works, of our activisms, of our reclamations, the spaces where we write, create, break bread, the spaces of our history (that have been taken and that we have taken back), the spaces of our contemporary (that are being taken and that we are taking back), the spaces where we fail, the spaces where we pray, the spaces we cannot return to, where we die, the spaces where others die, the spaces we left and leave, arrived and arrive, moved and move through, the spaces we were born in. The spaces we whisper in. The spaces we rage in.
A special closing of VERSO’s phenomenal 4th season, curated by the Versal editorial team.
